What is a Sure Seal?
Sure Seal is a unique line of inexpensive sealed electronic connectors for use in harsh environment applications. Sure Seal uses innovative technology to keep costs low while providing a submersible seal that is resistant to water, fuels, and chemicals.
How does it seal?
The connector body is injection molded PVC Nitrile. Each connector is molded as a single piece with multiple sealing ripples integrated into the body. As a result, only two parts are required to form a complete environmental connector: the body & the contacts.
How sealed is a Sure Seal?
Sure-Seal® connectors are not only sealed against water jets but are submersible to shallow depths. For additional technical specifications and test data on Sure-Seal connectors, please see our TechnicalSpecs/Test Data page.
How do I assemble a Sure Seal?
Sure Seal has a simple two step assembly process: Crimp and insert. Standard Sure Seal contacts are stamped and formed and have a 'B" style crimp. Our crimp is proprietary and we offer both inexpensive ergonomic hand crimp tools and automated crimp tools for lease or purchase. Insertion can be done with a hand insertion tool or an automated electronic/pnuematic insertion tool. For more specific information on tooling, please see our "Tooling" page.
